Gearbox manual for BMW M6? June 11, 2012 at 5:21 am
In mid-February of this year I spoke here of the new BMW M6, a beast of 560 HP thanks to its V8 TwinPower Turbo 4,400 cubic inches engine accelerates to 100 km/h in just 4.2 seconds (in its version Coupé).
Similar to the BMW M5, BMW M6 mounted an automatic change of double clutch and seven relationships. However, according to some rumors, it is possible that later also offered a manual six-speed gear box.
The reason is that, curiously, in the European market the new automatic changes boxes are having very good acceptance, but in United States, however there is a significant number of potential buyers who are demanding that most sporting BMW models can ride a manual change box.
At the moment the information is not even confirmed, but is expected to this novelty, which in principle only became United States, available in late 2013 or early 2014.
