Volkswagen will build a factory in Silao, Mexico April 6, 2012 at 2:16 am
Volkswagen is aware of the importance of the American market, and therefore plans to significantly increase its presence on the other side of the pond.
To achieve this objective the German brand has noticed that you have to adapt their vehicles to the tastes of the consumers Yanks, and the construction of a new engine plant fits, according to the company in this strategy.
Indeed, the new factory will be able to build some 330,000 engines per year, with an investment of initial of 550 million dollars (731 million euros), providing the necessary components to factories in Puebla (Mexico), where does the Volkswagen Jetta. Volkswagen Golf Estate and the Volkswagen New Beetle, and Chattanooga (Tennessee).
This last start in 2011 the production of a new (New Midsize Sedan) mid-size sedan, and later (2013) it is expected that the new Silao plant will be fully operational.
